I believe it is free and first come first serve. It is at the Millennium Stage, which I think is always free and first come first serve.

Shearwater is playing in the NPR building, at this dude's desk, at 4:30. I don't know how we keep getting acts to come play here, but Dr. Dog and Vic Chestnutt have also done it. Looking forward to it.

This is the email that was sent around:
Before taking the stage at the Kennedy Centerâ??s Millennium Stage in DC tonight, indie rock band Shearwater will be performing at a slightly more intimate venue: Bob Boilenâ??s desk. Swing by the skinny end of the building on the 5th floor TODAY (Oct. 16) at 4:30pm to catch the performance.

i smell prince hotel room show rip off.

For what it's worth, I did notice he had huge feet. And nice boots. His ex-wife bassist had nice boobies. And Thor was rocking the Chess King style.
