Who looks at these shows. I personally like High Stakes a little more. I think on NBC it is more about boasting that you won. It was a really funny show this week. If you have missed, check out on NBC.com.

i like hsp a little better too. poker after dark is quite possibly the worst show ever in the history of tv programming. shana hiatt is just.......blah. the only good thing about poker after dark is that it seems as though they show every hand, which is interesting to see. but then again, i cant really stand watching poker.

I think people where figuring that she would sell the show. I think that some of the table talk is funny. I think you see some have really big egos and need to come back to reality(Phil Hellmuth, Phil Laak and Antoni E.). But it is somewhat good to see more of the hands and see anyone can really play. There is no Bachelors degree in playing poker.

POKER IS NOT A SPORT!!!
-
people who watch poker on t.v. and enjoy it, are those who have a love affair (obsessive style) with the game. sort of like people who watch wrestling and know all of the characters and their back storied enemies.
-
I can watch poker, especially WSP or even the bad boys of poker show, for hours. At 11:00 pm at night, it's on TV somewhere, and I'll always find it (and often play along on the computer). I think it's fascinating, and it's helped my game greatly.
-
Televised poker. Hahahahahahaha. And people make fun of me for watching "boring" NASCAR.
Hell, I bet Vansmack doesn't even watch poker, and he watches EVERYTHING!
-
NASCAR IS BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I stopped watching poker on TV about 3-4 years ago, when it was still hard to find on TV. Now it's just overkill. Although on occasion, I will still watch The WSOP Main Event, but since it's so heavily reported on, it's no fun to watch already knowing who won.
-
no limit hold'em is so boring to watch. id like to see high stakes poker play pot limit omaha (300/600 blinds) or limit hold'em (1k/2k stakes), which would be really interesting to watch because you could burn through money in those games really quickly. also those are the games i like to play.
btw, has anyone ever watched elimination blackjack? i saw it on tv midday on the weekend on time and it was so bad. it seemed like a good concept executed poorly. but i cant wait til there is a craps tourney televised. i would SO watch that.
-
remember that horrible, "celebrity blackjack," that would have such heroes of modern day entertainment such as dennis rodman and the snapple lady.
-
I saw the elimination Blackjack on CBS, i didn't quite get it and I watched the whole thing! I guess I just like watching cards plus its something to do while searching for that new job. What channel can you watch High Stakes Poker though?
-
High Stakes Poker is on GSN (formerly The Game Show Network). It used to be on basic cable, before they moved it to their digital cable.
-
It is on GSN on Tues and Thurs.
-
i hate whatever f-ing poker game is on NBC in the wee hours of the night. i liked counting on conan repeats. and the SNL repeat at 3 on saturdays.
-
Who here plays poker in the area???
Stars N Bars
National Pub Poker League
Red White and Blue Poker
-

so i was wasted in vegas on friday at about 4am (i guess it was saturday) and sat down at a 3-6 limit table at the mirage ... i look two seats to my left and Steve Dannenman is sitting there, playing like an idiot
i felt really embarrassed for him, this guy is worth millions, and he's sitting there (without any friends with him) at the lowest limit table possible playing with a bunch of drunken sycophants who are licking his balls at every possible moment ... the whole experience was so annoying that we had to move tables after 30 minutes, the douchebag who came in for me gave me this look like "DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT IS?!? WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?!?!" ... basically everything that's wrong with poker these days was encapsulated in that 30 minute session
it was just a very awkward situation
i cleaned up at 2/5 NL throughout the weekend, but didn't come close to offsetting my basketball losses ... the end of the virginia tech first round game (they were favored by 3, won by 2), was one of the most frustrating gambling experiences of my life, i think i'm going to avoid sports betting for a while
-
I think people are scared because they have won. The appeal is that anyone can win. Maybe he likes the table to lick his balls. I hate ass kissers. Just play poker!
-
This weeks show was awful! You don't need a table full of woman poker players.
