Second time in a week. (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/download/146625-video-jeff-mangum-and-julian-koster-engine-live-in-pittsburgh-updated-with-better-video)
This might be a little premature but...
'08: the year of MBV; '09: the year of NMH?
-
Sweet!
Wait, who is Jeff Magnum?
-
must need the beans
-
That thought did cross my mind, too.
Then the thought that I'm probably just being too cynical did.
-
everything ive read about him says hes too nuts to think about money
having said that, id be excited for the year of nmh
-
I would like a NHM reunion, but doubt it. Also, he's clearly pulling in virtually no money from any of these shows in front of <500 people crowds divided by 10+ musicians.
-
Wow...I wish this tour was hitting DC at the end. Id go just for that.
-
It hit Baltimore and I made the mistake of seeing Shudder to Think instead. STT were ok but this would've been more fun in retrospect (no, no Jeff in Baltimore).

i'll put money down that it'll happen at atp ny 09. they are selling early bird tickets for some odd reason, hinting at something big if you ask me.
dude just got married and it seemed as if he enjoyed himself at this years event. so he's probably is itching for SOME money to start a family since he seems to be stable for the first time in his life.

Chicago show recording curtesy of NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=96105602)

God...
I love Julian Koster's saw playing but his voice hurts to listen to.

Thank you!

NPR removed "Engine" from their recording per Jeff's request but that doesn't mean it missed the interwebs completely.

I only literally JUST discovered Neutral Milk Hotel. WHAT THE HELL...you all is slackin on my edumacation.
-
And now you need to discover the Olivia Tremor Control and Circulatory System if you haven't already done so.
-
You supply and I'll listen. (well, eventually. I've got about 120gigs of music on my computer, only about probably 20 of which I've listened to thoroughly. For several months now I've been attempting to undertake The Great Pruning, but I always end up realising how much more music I need. CRAP.)
-
I can do that.
-
The Minders have always been my Elephant 6 preference.

Just noticed this post now. Had no idea he got married recently.
