Will the return of Andrew WK make NKOTB's day?
Saw a post about what looks like a pretty mediocre festival called The Bamboozle (http://www.thebamboozle.com/) held in the parking lot of the Meadowlands and in amongst My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Muse, Weird Al, and a pile up of kiddy rock bands, and what jumps out but Andrew WK Pep Rally 2007. To bad Weird Al and AWK aren't on the same days :)
hmmm what would a Andrew WK pep rally come off as...

from the home office (http://www.andrewwk.com/) -
Andrew W.K. Pep Rally 2007:Andrew W.K. and the Bamboozle festival will be producing a special pep rally, on Saturday morning, May 5th, 2007.
Andrew will make an appearance at the main entrance of the Meadowlands Sport Complex, and present a speech and a statement to his friends, confirming our collective desire for pure fun.
As part of this pep rally, Andrew will announce the official start of a new life in the world, and launch everyone into a full-blown celebration. The event is part of Andrew's continuing efforts to celebrate life, love, and music.
This is a special, one-time event, presented by Andrew W.K. and Bamboozle. NOT AN ANDREW W.K. CONCERT.
10:30am! Show up early, before the doors open and make it a complete experience... Be with Andrew, be together, be with yourself, and remember it forever.

If there's one thing AWK loves more than partying, it's peace and love...

Honestly, when is he playing again? This is getting painful!

Sun May 13 To Live and Shave in LA
This is at the RnR Hotel. They were supposed to play a month or so ago, and AWK (who is listed as a member of the band) was specifically mentioned as being there. Haven't seen similar announcements about the May 13 date, but he could well be there.

I saw them at the Black Cat for the "Noise Against Fascism" show a few years ago and they were awful. Most of the "music" was awful that night...

To Live and Shave in LA is more of a studio beast. The double disc they put out in 2002 on Menlo Park is still one of the densest, most meticulously crafted and sonically devastating things i've ever heard, but it is an acquired taste to say the least. Pretty much all of their other records are just as fucked up. Killer live band too and are capable of much more than what they gave at Noise Against Fascism. Tom Smith, vocalist and mastermind behind TLASILA actually hated that set.
They're playing Baltimore at this house venue called The Bank on 3/12. Last time they played a b-more house show (couple of years ago) Andrew WK played drums along to Bmore Club music all night long after the show.

Just curious, DriveWay...
What were you expected at a show named "Noise Against Facism"? Soft-rock? Calypso?
