I have a few of these left, only 100 made!

did anyone get one at the show?
What did you think of them?
Should I do more posters for show at the 9:30 Club?
-
yes. i thought the alejandro escovedo poster was excellent. i think you should do a smaller size though, or offer it in the larger size you have now, and then a smaller size as well if that's an option.

Yes....although I don't know the specifics of your arrangement with them - do they pay you or are you relying on how many of the posters actually sell at the show?

Are these the same posters that are posted about the club advertising upcoming shows? If so, then DEFINITELY do more! I'm totally digging them - they're really nicely done. I hope there's some way to be able to buy them at shows.
This reminds me of the posters you get when you go to the Fillmore in SF. Everyone gets a free one when they leave the show. They're beautifully done and have become quite the collectors items.

Sometimes both, but I usually rely on poster sales just to recoup printing costs.

i'm just curious; as a fellow and up-and-coming artist myself, how do you go about being able to do stuff like that? i'll make flyers for my friends with gigs and stuff; but i'd LOVE to make posters for bands to sell at shows...
-
Definitely do more!

The last couple of posters I did for the club were not used for promotions because of the time it took to get these printed. They were used for merch item sold at the shows, hopefully I can do a few more in the future for promotional purposes, we'll see...

It's not that difficult, it's all about making the right contacts with the bands, and telling them exactly what you want to do for them. It's not that hard to get in contact with these people.

Who would you all like to see posters done for upcoming dates at the 9:30 Club?
I'm finishing up the design for The Black Keys, just have to get it approved with the band. Haven't really thought of the next band I want to do one for yet.

Are you going to enter BRMC's t-shirt design contest?

It's probably a little late for the New Pornographers and Social Distortion.
How about the Dandy Warhols and X?
I love this Black Keys poster:

And here's a great X poster:

Lucky you. I waited too long and missed out.
I think AA makes the most beautiful posters. I have about a dozen of them. I still check eBay on a regular basis for this one:

I generally scoff at band/poster art because it's not my thing, but that's one hell of poster.
