*8:30am - Set-up/vigil begins
*11:15am - Media availability - Leaders of national abolitionist groups asked to be present to meet the press.
*12 Noon - Rally for Abolition
*6:30pm - Rally to Abolish the Death Penalty!
Both rallies will feature musician Steve Earle, Washington Wizards Center Etan Thomas, and Florida Death Row Survivor Juan Melendez, and others. The noon hour rally will feature movement and political leaders and will include some street theater. The evening rally will feature less talk and more artistic forms of expression, including DC area artists Karl Straub and Jenny Toomey

This was a good experience! Steve always has such "presence" and the short talks on abolition were good.

And Steve Earle is now cleanshaven and (relatively) thin. Go figure.
