Title: Pollstar industry awards shut-out
Post by: sweetcell on February 12, 2007, 12:13:00 pm
a while ago there was a thread about IMP's, 930's, Seth's and merriweather's nominations in the 18th annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards.  looks like locals were shut out.  the real kicker?  Nightclub Of the Year: House Of Blues Chicago.  then again they also selected Best New Touring Artist: Panic! At the Disco...

Been to the House of Blues in Chicago a bunch of times. The Metro is a MUCH better venue.

joe - nah, i don't research, i just happen to notice this story on pollstar.com's front page.  i started the previous thread announcing the nominations and thought i should close the loop.

i don't have the discipline to blog, and i doubt many people would find me interesting.  besides, there are tons of people who are already doing a great job of blogging the sh*t outta the music biz.

Hmmm....Sounds to me like HoBs paid out for a big favor, especially considering they are out to buy and conive their way into the DC concert market.

Yet another reason to boycott the HoBs!
