anyone going? this show should sell out anytime now (they've sold it out every other time they've played at 930 club)... and i can't wait. VACO shows at 930 club are probably at the top on my concert-going list... so much fun. the openers, matt nathanson and brown couch, are also great. hope to see some of ya'll getting live!
peace,
paul

I saw them by mistake in July 2000 (a great band called Foxtrot Zulu was opening from them) and that was the worst band (with Pete Yorn, Division of Laura Lee, and Guided by Voices) that I have seen in these three years in DC. Never will see them again, nightmare of music band.
-
I saw them before as well, playing with the Lost Trailers, who are a great band. VACO is not a great band, and is perhaps (with OAR being a close second) the biggest pile of shite I have heard recently.

I saw Matt Nathanson open for somebody else once, and her ranked right there with Needs New Body and the Immortal Lee County Killers as the worst openers I've ever seen.
So there you have it, shit opening for shit.

i saw them once at a wine festival when i was in college. i'd consumed about 2 and a half bottles of wine...i thought they were the greatest band ever!!
then i saw them later that year at the state theater and only had one beer to drink and they annoyed the crap out of me
