When I really think about it, there really is no great pleasure in running 5 hours straight. Whereas I find shorter (though long) runs much more pleasurable. I guess Sting does 4 hour sex sessions because he can, the same reason I ran marathons.

I'd rather see a band's gig go down a storm in an hour and 45 minutes than getting the 3 hour treatment... a la Badly Drawn Boy.. it was the same as when the Cure played here a couple of years ago.. there came a point when I longed for the encore..

You might have to take 10-15 minute breaks now and then but 4-6 hours is the way to go. Nothing as boring as a Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Mamam-Minute-Man(or woman) type. Where's the fun in that!?
