Ahhhh, fabulous! Have never managed to see them.
-
Is Jez's brother (or cousin?) still playing keys with them. Their last show here rocked, but hopefully he will take better care of his voice.
-
Yes, it's true. There's a presale (of course) and all.
Gaz's brother, Rob, is now an official member of the band.
-
their new album is okay. i hear they're better live.
-
Okay? Okay? No Supergrass album is just "okay". I don't think this album is necessarily their best work, but it's better than most of the junk that's out there.

There is a music today pre sale through the Supergrass website, running from 1/24 to 1/31 at www.supergrasstickets.musictoday.com.
We have nothing to do with Music Today - they are a business who works with bands on their websites and to build up their fan clubs. We do them the favor of setting aside tickets so the fans may have access to them in advance of the general populace. They charge their own service charges.
Because of the success of such presales, we have chosen to, on occasion, run our own presales as a service to our loyal clientele.

-
thanks eddie.
so is the 9:30 club running their own presale for this show too, for us loyal clientele type? I couldn't tell from your post if you were saying "Yes there is one but it's through Musictoday.com" or "Hold your horses, here comes the guns 9:30 Style"

So it's only a buck extra, and you don't have to leave your home/office/etc.
I generally don't like presales, because I don't like to pay all the fees. This one's okay.
anyone else find that the link doesn't even work?
-
http://www.strangeones.com
use the link from this site (click on "the tour").
-
it'd work ifn' when there's no period at the end of it.
www.supegrasstickets.musictoday.com

thanks. i wish they weren't will call though, i like collecting all my ticket stubs from shows and sticking them in my photo albums. but hell, only $2 service charge, can't be that!
-

-
thanks eddie your the best behind the scenes guy i know!!!!!
i'm impressed with this company's handling of the presale... it's a way to get maximum benefit and convience to the fan without being stiffed to badly
-
really? for some reason i thought both will call and night of sale was a little ticket and not a real ticket. hey, but if i'm wrong, all the better!

quote:
Originally posted by jadetree:
you still get ticket stubs from will call, you only dont get stubs if you buy the night of the show

-
Oh thanks Eddie and everyone. I just bought our two tickets.
And the corals website confirms that they will be support. Their new album is supposed to be inspired by Miled Davis, which is odd as what I have heard sounds just like their first album, i.e. The La's.
I cant wait.
-
Is this show gonna sell out that quick? I had no idea Supergrass had a following this big here in the US. I've met a few fans, but not as many as were into Doves, Belle & Sebastian, etc.
-
Doubt it will sell out, at least not quickly. For me, the presale just makes more sense than going to the club to buy tickets, since there's no hefty service charge.
-
I'd be stunned if the show sold out. I'll be at the club sometime before then, so will buy tix at that point.
'The Coral' is one of the best albums of last year. Not sure if its scheduled to be released in the US (I gotta assume it will be eventually), but hell, you can always pick it up for 13 clams, including postage, at http://www4.cd-wow.net/
