Title: Beck Pre-sale info
Post by: pj on August 09, 2005, 11:23:00 am
Does anyone have any info on the Beck presale for the Patriot Center show? It says there is one starting Thursday. I get the beck.com email updates, but haven't received anything lately.

Anyone know how to get in on that?

I've been wondering if I'll get a 930 email with this info. Nothing yet.

If the pre-sale is Thursday afternoon and it's through 930 (pure supposition), I'm sure they'd send the password with the regular Wednesday night email.

I only see the pre-sale mention on the ticketbastard site. we'll see what else comes up in the next day or two (930 email and others).

I wish they'd release the full tour itenerary before this goes on sale, because if there's a southern VA/NC show the next day or something, I'd prefer to go to that.

According to the ticketmaster page, the floor is GA, the seats are reserved. $40.

I agree that because the pre-sale is on a Thursday, it's probably a slam dunk that it's a 9:30 Club pre-sale and the password will be in the Wednesday weekly email.  9:30 Club is the only entity I can think of on a Thursday schedule for sales and show announcements.

All of the pre-sale tix are reserved for Scientologists.  Opening the show will be speeches by Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Pre-sale info was sent out to people on the Beck mailing list.

That's TM talk for selling order. When someone buys a ticket without specifying a section the computer will bring up the highest X number available. If all the tix in X1 are sold then it goes to X2. If someone wants four seats together the computer will go to the highest X with foursomes. If the first customer in line wants a pair in the stands the seller tells the computer to start at the X number where the stands begin, e.g. X5.

Customers at outlets can request specific sections/rows/seats. You don't have to take what the computer chooses but it takes longer (sometimes much longer if you get a newbie seller); if the show is selling fast you may be SOL if you get too choosy, and you might just piss off those behind you if the show sells out while you're weighing apples vs oranges.
