So I saw that Interpol is playing at the Recher in Baltimore. Is there an easy way to get there from DC by public transportation?
-
Hell, there isn't even an easy way to get there by public transportation from downtown Baltimore!
-
You could take the MARC train up there, and then a bus or cab to the theater, I suppose, but the MARC would have ceased running by the time you'd want to leave....
-
Ever heard of buying a used car? If you can't afford one, maybe you shouldn't be blowing your money on a luxary item like concert tickets. (http://www.930.com/ubb/smile.gif)
-
err thanks rhett.<P>But when its difficult to park and you walk ot take the metro to work a car is just a big waste of cash.<P>better advice tould be to club together and hire a car....
-
To each their own I guess. Having a car and the ability to go anywhere in the world out of DC on the weekend is the most liberating feeling in the world to me, and is worth every bit of the cash I skelled out for it. Without a car, I'd feel incredibly claustrophobic. Maybe it has to do with growing up in a wide open space where you had to drive or bike to get anywhere you wanted to go.

talking of old 97's anyone see must see TV last night?<P>they used the proposal song, "there is a question that you should say yes to, once in your life....." (that sounds like the great leap forward by billy Bragg) on scrubs and then a coldplay song on ER.
-
actually, the recher isn't even in baltimore, it's in towson. so, a car is a must have if you want to get to this show. but, if you don't then a) get a bunch of people and rent a car, or b)take the marc to balmer, cab to towson, cab back to balmer and wait for the next amtrak train cause the marc's done running. . .

Jadetree, you really need to learn when to use the word "too" instead of "to"<P>But at least you don't have dogshit stuck in your shoe like I do. If only I drove to work, I wouldn't be suffering from that problem.<P> <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Arial, Veranda">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by jadetree:<BR><B> tree murderer! bet you kill babies to!</B><HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>

We were listening to that Bragg album the other night and she commented "that must be the song Markie was talking about when Great Leap Forward" came on.<P>Didn't catch must see tv though.<P><BR> <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Arial, Veranda">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by markie:<BR><B>talking of old 97's anyone see must see TV last night?<P>they used the proposal song, "there is a question that you should say yes to, once in your life....." I wonder if rhett Miller has even heard the billy Bragg song?<P>

Given his affection for 80's Britpop, no doubt he has heard it. Good thing Billy is a nice Socialist and wouldn't sue him...

More vaguely reminiscent.....<P>Plus the guitar piece starts off very similar, but finishes off differently.<P>Turned out to be a good song for two artists.... It came over well on scrubs, I expect the Rhett Miller song to get used a lot in future.

It is reasonably funny.
