Title: Singletracking for "sick passengers" on the Me

Why is it that their seems to be a "sick passenger" who delays mu Metro ride at least once a week? Are there this many people having heart attacks while riding the Metro? Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?
 
 I've been riding Metro for nearly 10 years, and in spite of the seemingly weekly occurrence of their being a "sick passenger" on the Metro, I've never actually been on a train where a "passenger" was sick. I have, however, been on numerous trains that were "sick" and brokedown.
 
 For example, going home early Tuesday, we had to offload into the ice (right when trains were already overcrowded, which made getting onto the next overcrowded train impossible for some people) at Arlington Cemetary because a door got stuck. Once they got us off, the door shut, so they then told us we could get back on. Then after everyone was back on, they kicked us all back off because the door "had been stuck".
 
 Why do they need to offload a whole train because one door on one car gets stuck?

Yeah...my Orange Line sat at Foggy Bottom this morning, and I debated whether to walk the 5 blocks to Farragut West or wait it out for one more stop.  I waited it out, and over the next 10 minutes, the Metro operator said that the sick passenger was at (a) Federal Center, (b) L'Enfant Plaza, and finally (c) Smithsonian.  That's one mobile sick passenger.

I find a lot of people get motion sickness on the metro especially if they do not travel it often. My wife, who is pregnent, got very sick over the weekend making us have to get out every three or four stops so she could feel better. Yeah, it took forever to get home.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. Do you know if you're expecting a girl? I think there's an old wives tale that female babies cause worse morning sickness.

I read that most sick passengers post-New Year's are  diet-ers who are light-headed from lack of food.

Boy or girl, as long as they can pull prints and roll posters by age five I'll be happy.
