Title: Mastodon/Priestess roll call
Post by: Relaxer on February 16, 2007, 11:40:00 am: Who's going tomorrow night? If you are, I strongly recommend you get there early enough to see Priestess. They're a great fun rock band, who released one of my best albums of last year.

Also, I think I called Blood Mountain my most disappointing albums of 2006. Well, in prep for the show, I've been listening to it a lot and I've come 180 on it. Man, I love it, and I can't wait to see them rock it up on stage. Three great bands for 15 bucks on a Saturday night. That's my kind of deal. Am surprised this hasn't sold out.

and i'm not surprised it hasn't sold out. while mastodon is pretty hip within metal circles, and has even crossed over a little, i don't think they've reached popular enough status to sell out the 930 on their own. i could be wrong. converge still plays the ottobar and opens for bigger bands at places like the 930.
