Great band. If you haven't heard them, you are really missing out, especially if you dig that Smiths-inspired melancholy jangle sound...
-
the sinatras have already sold out one of the la dates with little to no promotion... pretty amazing for a bands whose last us release came out in 1993 and last uk release was in 1996

ahhh, the trashcan sinatras. . .saw them do a free show with mighty mighty bosstones and a solo performance by thom yorke in 1992 - at least i think it was 92, could have been 93.
-
I always thought they were rubbish, and an insult the the Sinatra name...but what do I know?
-
i saw them support ian mcnabb in the mid 90s and they were effing shite, crap music, crap show, thankfully mcnabb was brilliant.

I don't think they were very popular -- they're my 'genre,' but I didn't know of them much nor did my jangle buds. Of course, there are always a few bands that just fall under one person's radar. I've certainly heard of them, but they didn't seem to raise a big hew. I'm interested in checking them out...
