for a little DC flavor, how bout "Shattered Glass"? the punk who plays anakin in star wars is actually pretty good in it.

If you haven't seen it, get Secretary with Maggie Gyllenhall (sp) and James Spader. That movie is HOT!   :o

A random sampling from my queue (of 64! yikes):
 Lost in La Mancha
 Murder, My Sweet
 A Decade Under the Influence
 Scratch
 The Great Escape
 L'Avventura
 Badlands
 The Deerhunter
 The Third Man
 Narc
 The Thin Man
 Saboteur
 The 39 Steps
 The Lady Vanishes
All Quiet on the Western Front
 The Verdict
 Z
 Traffik (1989 TV series)
The Wire: Season 1 (out Oct. 12th)

I saw a few of the above years ago but want to see them again. I highly recommend Traffik. I also agree with all of lily1's recommendations. Especially Before the Rain and Dirty Pretty Things.

Frankly, I've not seen Shaolin Soccer.  But do note that it was promo-ed via trailer for over 1.5 years before it actually hit screens...definitely not a good sign.

I saw the original Village Of The Damned(1960) on Turner Classic Movies the other night.  I'd recommend that.

heh, I'm still digesting all these suggestions.

One thing I've noticed is their RSS feed only lists the first 15 items in the Queue... with everyone's suggested I now have 43 movies.

Also this is all probably second nature to many of you but if anyone wants to know how to set up their own public netflix queue page, I can help...
