Came across the station this morning. Seems to play alot of music from 80-90-00 all mixed up with no djs. Pretty decent stuff that I havent heard in some time, at least on the radio.
-
what kind of stuff?
-
everything from the old skool soundgarden to roxette (sp), boston to the 80's rock.

Sounds like 107.3

Do you like Huey Lewis and the News? Their early work was a little too New Wave for my taste. But then Sports came out in 1983, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello but I think Huey has a more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In 1987 Huey released Fore!, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square," a song so catchy that most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's all a personal statement about the band itself.

What do you think they should do? No one is listening, except prisoners.
Prisoners is stores, offices, waiting rooms and elevators.
And in definitivedoodle's car.

BTW....is air america still around or has Bush managed to shut it down now?
Okay, back to original topic....once someone has answered my question.

instead of offering content people might actually listen to i.e. something other than "personalities" and thier "witty" banter, hyping the latest trip to see a band play in another city... they go to lowest common denominator and make radio sound like a mainstream/top 40 iPod. Woopee!
how about something novel like letting DJ's pick and program thier material...
why do you think that people are eager to get internet radio streams when they are away from their computers, i'm guess it has little to do with Elliot in the morning...

I can attest that he's still around, as I've been listening all week in order to get my hands on those illustrious Foo Fighter 9:30 Club tickets. Holy moly. I miss my Stern...

Stern and his crew were making fun of this retarded woman over the phone yesterday. Even I wouldn't go that low.

Beggin to differ
Great novel: horribly adapted to film
while 'Rules of attraction' was a great movie adapted from Easton's worst book
