Title: hotel recs in philly?

oh so knowledgable gang, i'm going to be in philly next sat. i've only ever day tripped there but this time will be staying over. got any suggestions? cheap is good as i'm as poor as a church mouse right now and pay day is a long long way away. and if its someplace close to theare of the living arts and has parking, even better.

Id be interested as well, I may HAVE to take a trip to Philthadelphia to see a show at the Trocadero. Misfits Fiend Fest with that crappy M25 cover band but the Damned are the Co-Headliner and I am a huge Dave Vanian fan...The Dickies, D.I., and Balzac are also on board.
 
 for some reason this tour is skipping DC/Baltimore

There is a holiday in on Arch street -- that is probably pretty cheap and not too bad --

i stay at that holiday inn whenever i go to philly, unless i am crashing with a friend.  its nice, about $100 and right downtown. its even got some nice Elephant restaraunt in it, or something.

Yup if you use Hotwire for selecting a hotel it'll have this Holiday Inn for $50 a night. Select Waterfront/Historic District and it'll come up. I think they've got it listed as a 4-star hotel...

$50? damn. i just used onbigcampus.com and got the latham hotel at rittenhouse sq for $100 for 2 double beds and i thought that was good.
 
 decent rates on hotwire but they can't guarantee a non smoking room or 2 beds, which is required for me. bugger. i'll try calling the hotel directly though. thanks guys!

priceline got me a 3 star hotel for $62 with taxes. woo hoo!
