8/16 at the Black Cat.. woohoo!
-
This has just made my week!

Now will they really show? Hey... Number 300 for me! It's the greatest day of my year and half tenure.

piss man. 8/16!!! I am going to be in the homeland seeing Radiohead from the Orchestra Pit....damnit. maybe I'll stay for the Libertines. haha, jk. should be fun though, they were 3 sheets to the wind at Coachella. I call them "wanker rock"

I will check out the show out of curiousity. So is Pete definitely out of the band, then?

What I read on their message board made it seem like he was in rehab. The people on that site claimed to have a picture of him shooting up and it sounded like the picture is periodically posted, why people would want to see that, I dont know.

A guy I know spent some time with the 'Tines earlier this year and said the lead guy (sorry, don't know his name) has some serious pharmaceutical issues -- way above and beyond your normal rock-star drug use. So if you want a good show on 8-16, bring him some crack. Seriously.
Here is a site with a bunch of Libertines demos:

The best part of the demos is Adam Green doing What a Waster.

Oh, cool! I've heard they put on a great live show.
I have mixed feelings about their music but love the song Spirit Of St. Louis. In fact, I like their singles much better than their album.

That's fantastic! I want to see them more than the Libertines! That made my rather rough day so much brighter.
