They have been reissuing a lot of their material.
A friend and I just made a CD of my vinyl Microphonies to find that it is out again.
-
Microphonies is the second album of their holy trinity. Crackdown is a must, as is Covenant/Drinking Gasoline.
Also, Red Mecca is a masterwork, although not of the 'funk' years.
-
Mix-up is brilliant too. The only thing that I don't like by them was their 90s remix album, though that might well be biased because I really was hoping to get the originals.
I have to find their videos again, Night Flight on USA Network used to show them.

Night Flight was an awesome show. There are a coupla NTSC (http://www.brainwashed.com/cv/discography/cv10.htm#Anthologies) VHS tapes on their website (http://www.brainwashed.com/cv/).

I have some VHS tapes of Night Flight, back when I couldn't stay up that late, and wanted to see some of the cool stuff. Urgh, A Music War; DEVO retrospective, and the Residents special I have, and some other weird stuff. I will have to catalog my tapes soon.

Urgh! kicks ass! Feature's live Wall of Voodoo, XTC & Oingo Boingo!

And Dead Kennedys, Gang of 4, The GoGos with a punk pudgy Belinda, and lots more.
