I see that Hot Hot Heat are playing at Sonar on November 19th.   Does anyone know if they'll be coming to DC?

No idea, but I bought tickets to see them at Sonar about a week ago.  
 
 Can anyone give me the best way to get there for someone with their provisional liscence (aka, can't drive after midnight, so thus can't really drive there)?  How long/much would a cab ride from a train station to the club be?  Maryland just instated all these shitty driving laws, making it nearly impossible for all of us to jump in a car and go together.  Am I going to have to buy my mom a ticket so she can drive us and take us home?  oh the woes of being underage. . .

i don't know how much a cab will cost ya, but you should know that there are no marc trains between penn station and union station between 10:00 PM and 4:45 AM (course, mart doesn't run on weekends).  for that weekend, the last amtrak train leaves penn station for union station at 1:40 AM.  according to mapquest, penn station is about 2 miles from sonar.
