Anyone passing up The Stills to go? I'm pretty sure I am...
-
I'm 90% sure I'll be there.
-
I'll be there, though i've never met you chimbly, and only met skeeter once i think. I'll be the guy paasing out BigYawn flyers... and who inevitably gets into a fight with Ian cause I won't leave him alone...
-
I will likely be there.

Wow, GGW and I have never met... sounds like an event.
-
Maybe y'all can help me with this-- i have a stoopid conference call for work at 8pm. Doors for the show are at 8pm. Ian is our hero.
So... should I be concerned?
Can my friend buy tix for two?
Ideas? (Other than quit my job?)

He may be the one person on this board who can look down on you, red....

I should be easy to spot in my Bush-Cheney '04 shirt.

Wow, you wear that in public? Sheesh.
I can be pulled out of a crowd by spotting by bag-- it's a dark blue, light blue, white messenger-- or my blond-hair-tucked-under-helmet.

Now I know why we've never met before. I take my earlier comment back, it is you who will most likely be tussling with Ian, as he leaps off stage to rip you apart. Don't feel bad if I join in, if only to gain his respect. Nothing personal.
-
I was kidding. I'm not a glutton for punishment.
Although, I was tempted to buy one and wear it to Billy Bragg's show last year.
-
I don't know, isn't Ian the size of an anorexic midget? The guy is a vegan, for cripesake. I bet ggw could take him.
-
woo-hoo! got excused *cough cough* from my worky committment and can now come for sure.

Ian says...not a chance!

Note to performers at Warehouse: please stand up so that more than the front three people can see.
While I understand that if it's just drummer & guitar it may be very solidarity-like to sit together on stage, please remember that there are quite a few people that want to *see* you when they hear you.
thank you.
-
Note to patrons at the Warehouse: please turn off your cell phones during the show.
thank you

Yeah - I saw the chair on stage and thought - uh-oh - that's not good. I'm pretty tall (at least 6'1"). I was maybe 5-6 feet from the stage and I still had a really hard time seeing either of them.
Fun show though.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought one of the cell-phone noises at the beginning that was conveniently timed was actually coming out of the effects set-up they had in the back for one of the later songs.
Though I did hear two other phones ring-- those were real.

The sirens outside during 'mt. pleasant isn't' was a nice touch as well. I actually enjoyed this show more than their Coachella appearance. Better venue for the sound and they actually played more than they talked.
Quails were fun as well. I felt sort of bad that so many people took off after the Evens, but I don't think that was a surprise.

I'm sure it was just coincidental. I was standing next to the guy while he fumbled in his pocket to turn it off.

One more question... while I'm at it... still haven't met anyone from the board, thus have to wonder...
are any of you hoodlums the guys trying to flag cabs that in a sleepy drunky state i told my life story to last night?
just wondrin', out of curiosity.
-
Yes, I particularly enjoyed the tale about your affair with a transsexual.

Nope... I was the tall dude handing out flyers to BigYawn. Kinda hard to miss. Were you on a bike?
Oh, you should come out to the BY party and introduce yourself... many of us will be there it appears.
-
I was hanging in the back and left after the Evens.
-
I know there were at least 2 people taping the Evens' set last night. I'd love to get a copy, if anyone has access to one.
