Title: RHCP
Post by: chknfngrs on February 12, 2003, 11:26:00 am
I know the chili peppers aint what they used to be, but don't they put on a good show still? I saw them on the lollapalooza tour years ago. what about in the 9:30 club?

Well, considering that they're playing the first of two sold-out shows at a 17,000-seat arena in Paris tonight and tomorrow night, I think they might command a bigger venue.

Gleaming the cube was a fairly common skating term in the 80s. It just meant that you'd pulled a hot move, usually when you get serious air. Duuuuude. That takes me back.
What the shit does what the shit mean?

Mars Volta (ex At the Drive-in frontmen) are opening for them in Europe, if that's the case for the US, I may just go! Plus, I'm a fan of John Frusciante's solo stuff, so that helps.

haha! looks like the chili peppers pulled a fast one on d.c. and are going to be on this year's hfstival.

as far as i know the Chili Peppers wont be playing any HFStival. where did you hear that. Usually its the same package that does all of the radio spring shows. And RHCP does have a mysterious 3 weeks of no tour dates listed right around the time of HFS. Perhaps they could be.....
who cares, cause, i bought my plane ticket for Coachella last night!!

RHCP has no Boston OR Chicago listing either. which are the other 2 major spring radio shows. i guess its true......poor HFS

That would be 45 minutes that didn't exist last year.... I guess I shouldn't say that, the Strokes were sort of entertaining, BRMC was good but dwarfed by the stage. Two years ago was held up by Coldplay and Green Day.... But yeah, it's a long day to see one or even two bands you like.
