Obviously I'm rooting for my man Tony Stewart but he has struggled at Daytona and with him now driving the Chevy, it's gonna be a few races before he settles in. He'll need to do really well in the Gatorade 125 today to have a chance.
Therefore, I'm not betting against DEI racing in a restrictor plate race.

DEI vs. RCR - shocker!
-
Didn't see the races yesterday, but Tony went from last to 5th in 50 laps. No doubt he'll be a force Sunday.
-
He did the same thing in the Bud Shootout - then faded at the end. At one point he chased down the break away pack of 6 by himself in 8 laps, then faded to second to last over the last three. Either he wasn't tipping his hand that early or he's worried the car can't make it (which is the usual problem at Daytona).
Oh well, if the car hold together, he'll be a force to reckon with, otherwise he'll finish behind DEI and RCR for sure, just like everybody else.
If I didn't dislike Robbie Gordon's racing style so much, I'd root for the Orange County, CA boy, but I just don't like his syle.
