Yay. another good channel of seemingly endless live performances.
MTV-HD launched today on Dish and i assume will by years end on Directv.
check it out (http://www.mhd.tv/)
some videos, mostly live PAs from festivals, VH1 Storytellers, $2 bill shows and even reruns of MTV Awards shows. and it should even be better than "RAVE-HD" who shows the same thing over and over and over, for the most part.

I give them 6-months before they start showing Real World reruns.

exactly what i was telling my wife when explaining the channel to her.
though, it may be Pimp My Ride or Cribs. either way, yeah, enjoy the music stuff while it lasts.

I've had it for close to a year on FIOS. It's OK, but the programming is still pretty repetitive...plus they share a lot of time with CMT HD. If it has one advantage over "regular" MTV it's that there are less commercials (for now).
I'm sure as gets more traction we'll see more commercials and more variety, which means "Date My Mom" in HD.

Yep. Technically, it's Music: High Definition (MHD not MTV-HD) but is owned by the MTV parent company and plays reruns of old MTV network shows in HD. It will be available on D*TV Sept 15.
The regular MTV in HD will launch on D*TV by year end.

Good channel but they need new shows...same concerts for the 8 months I've had it.
