i love heroes. i hope there's actually some resolution in the finale and not too much cliff hanging.
did you hear about this:
"* It looks like NBC is using the six-hour â??Heroes: Originsâ? spinoff to plug up â??repeat holesâ? in the â??Heroesâ? schedule. Set in the â??Heroesâ? universe, the spinoff is to introduce a new hero each week that may be integrated into the main show. "

I love it! I was suprised to learn that the creator isn't really into comic books. Can't wait for next week!

Wow, that's cool. I'll admit, I'm basically the target market for a show like this. I'm obsessive-compulsive enough to watch an entire serial series (even if I don't really like it), as long as I catch the first few episodes. Also, I'm a huge geek about comics. It didn't catch me right away, but I'm so glad I stuck around. In fact, it's the first time in 6 seasons that I've been taping 24 and not watching it when it airs.

Heroes is my favorite show on TV right now. I love it!

apparently, nbc is going to give 'the office' a heroes-style treatment as well with tons of interactive things on their site. (i still can't get over the robocall from nathan petrelli. i'm convinced he's going to have me killed).
from nbc: Beginning this fall, viewers will be invited to experience "The Office" in a whole new way. There will be a multitude of interactive features, one of which will encourage users to "work for" Dunder-Mifflin. Recruits will be asked to create their own branches and complete weekly corporate tasks. Local "branches" which successfully complete tasks may be integrated into an on air episode of the show. Additional content will be made available on many platforms, including interaction with unique mobile content, a WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) site and significantly increased original content on NBC.com.

I quit watching 24 when the Audrey storyline started. They've done too much jumping around, and while I appreciate they're in a bind in terms of making the seasons different from each other, having Jack "go rogue" again just made me exhausted. Uh, and hello, his father is frickin' James Cromwell. How do you let that storyline just end in the first half of the season?
When my DVR screwed up and missed a couple episodes, I decided what the hell and gave up. Maybe I'll catch in on DVD, or maybe not.
LOVE "Heroes"

They didn't, no storyline is ever over in 24. I do have to force myself to watch. I record it but it takes several days before I get around to watching it.

Bingo...only I haven't watched the last 4. The Audrey Raines storyline is just too much for me. I hated her when she was a main part; why would I care if she's tacked onto the end of an otherwise good season?

I saw the pilot and thought it was weak - did it get better?
-
Honestly, I didn't really love it until maybe the 5th or sixth episodes. I stuck with it as I'm an uber-nerd (example: I'll most likely be seeing the FAntastic Four sequel even though the first one blew...why? the Silver Surfer), and it definitely paid off as the story revealed itself. Of course, there are still storylines, even this late in the game, that I hate. But the rest of the show is just awesome...in my nerdy opinion.

worst set of characters by far, i guess her kid was necessary, but the rest was awful

Love the series, too. I agree that it started shakey but has gotten stronger with each episode. And now it's really addictive. I like a series that keeps me guessing! I also like programming that thinks beyond the TV, so I completely geek out on the phone calls from Nathan Petrelli (got one, too), text messages about voting scams, and hidden codes on web sites. I'm a little worried about who they are going to kill off. Somehow I suspect it won't be who I want to die (Jessica!) and will be someone I like (not Nathan or Ando please!).
Oh and I also abandoned 24 at the start of the Audrey storyline. There are enough good shows coming in the Fall (Bionic Woman, Pushing Daisies, IT Crowd), so I feel okay about dropping it.
-
Maybe they'll reveal more later, but as far as I'm concerned, that's called having a split personality, not being a superhero. That whole storyline is so bad I've actually grown to love the absurdity of it.
Speaking of 24, I burned through the 4 episodes I have on tape last night. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but they definitely picked it back up a bit. It got me a little hooked for the finale next week, since they pretty much always end on a good note.
