the best ending to a season ever?
i love the office
-
That was pretty classic.
-
awesome.

I like to hold them

God, I hate this show now. I used to LOVE it. But, I'll agree that the end with Ryan was pretty funny.
But the Jim and Pam thing? It just totally ruined the show. The part at the beach last week made me physically uncomfortable. "The Office" is a comedy about the office place. It's not "Moonlighting." It's not "Ed." It's not about unrequited love. It's just not the same show anymore. Everyone looks bored and all the humor is forced.
Be honestly, doesn't it seem that they've totally run out of ideas? It's just the same jokes over and over.
I mean Puh-leeze! Jim looks down and sees a note from Pam that says "Remember us when you're famous" and an Office Olympics medal? What is this? A Hallmark card commercial? Instead of Jim driving all that way and saying "Are you free for dinner?", it should have been "You're a clingy, crazy freak. You and I are done." That would have been great.
I know I'm in the minority but this show is done for me. It hasn't been funny in a long time and next season is not going to be any better. I'll be surprised if it comes back for a fifth season. Everyone is doing movies and with thirty episodes (some "supersized") for the forth season, they should have plenty of episodes for syndication.
"Why didn't any of you come to my art show?"
That was embarrassing.

'ryan, go get my coffee'
'uh, i don't do that anymore...'
-
Nice ending. Totally unexpected! :D
-
I though the title of the thread meant Hoya was saying farewell to us.
-
The American one is watchable but the English version is far superior, but I suppose it is the original and trying to replicate something is tough.
What happened at the end? I fell asleep, no really I did.
-
***SPOILER***
Ryan got the corporate head job that Jim & Karen applied for also :)
-
question? how happy was i that karen got left in nyc.
answer: so happy i actually jumped up out of my chair screaming. that's right...screaming. the dog quickly scampered away.

Brian, I think these are actually some of the only moments that invoke the best parts about the british office. It 's supposed to be awkward. The problem with the American version is that they can't decide if it's an awkward drama with funny moments or a sit-com.
I like where they've taken the Jan character this season and thought this finale was great.

i definately like where they've taken Jan. . .
i'm a karen fan. . .

I'm a Karen fan as well. Love her "exotic" looks! It's hard to dislike her even though she said Pam was a bitch. :p
-
the line was "you and i are done," get it right.
best line of the show was kevin: "will. do."

Him and Creed are tied in my book. Nothing beat that episode where Michael had shit in his office, and Creed walked in saying "Smells like stew." Gross.

Sometimes when Iā??m sick, or feeling blue, I drink vinegar. I like all kinds: balsamic, vodka, orange juice, leaves. (http://blog.nbc.com/CreedThoughts/)

or the watermark episode when he stole the money he raised for the woman he got fired.
-
Yes! My mom actually hates him because of that episode. The only other person I've seen get her this mad was Kid Rock's midget friend, Joe C.

lmao. he's probably one of the most talked about characters in my office. like in the beach ep when he grabs the fish out of the water... and the fake id business he runs.

have you seen the British series, because whatever you think its about, it still follows the same major plotlines, including the Jim and Pam story

Come on, Brian does have a point. It's not like anything of a romantic nature ever happened in an office environment

But they knew when to end the British series. I think the Jim and Pam thing is tired, but the rest of the American version is still funny.
-
i loved it.
although "why didn't any of you come to my art show" hit a little close to home.

Dawn and Tim didnt get together until after the second series, British series was shorter, but still same timeline
-
I loved the British version and Ricky Gervais likes to end his series while on top. The Office - 2 seasons and done and now Extras - 2 seasons and most likely done, from what he has said.
The American verison, in my opinion has actually gotten funnier each season and some of this seasons episodes were the best. But it will be interesting to see if the show goes downhill if Jim and Pam get together.
