Not sure how I feel about this song. Still think that 'Real Love' and 'untitled' were better. Depends how it sounds on a Real Stereo...

Chamberlain is the best part of the song. His drumming is great, and I must say, I've always liked BC's guitar sound. Nothing else about the song stands out to me.

The :30 clip that leaked made me go ugh but this is much better. Can't wait for a CD-rip as opposed to the radio rip; I think they guitar will be alot more defined.

Agreed.  I love the guitar tones right now, and I imagine the real version sounds WAY more crisp.  Pretty excited for this now.

On first listen, not a bad song.

I think it is ok, but I'm not floored by it.  The vocals aren't Billy's best.  It has a big sound though and I like the guitar solo sound.  We'll see how the album compares.  I still can't wait for V-Fest.  They should bring the 'residency' to Washington.

Vocals are sub-par even for Corgan, but the drums+guitar are fucking awesome. Go, Pumpkins, go!

I guess that's what happens when you take James and D'Arcy out of it, it sounds like SP Lite

damnit. I'm disappointed. How could you let me down, Billy Corgan?! HOW. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Alright, here's my experience in more detail for any interested.

I was on the orange peel site's link for tickets at noon, just sitting there...on a different tab wandering around the net killing time.  Around 12:55 I tried to refresh the page to see if perhaps things had changed a few minutes early, which proved a big mistake.  Couldn't get anything to load.  Couldn't get to anything, the servers were already bogged down.  I spent 40 minutes just trying to get to any site either through ticketweb or orange peel that actually listed the dates, let alone let me click on something like "yes i want 2 tickets for saturday".  Had multiple tabs going at all times.  Finally got through to option to purchase on about 6 different tabs but could get no further, it would say server too busy.  Kept hitting back, then saying yes to agree to terms, over and over.  Finally, all at once, all my tabs pulled up for entering billing information about 10 of 2 pm.  I checked and they had me down as holding no less than  12 bloody tickets!!! I was worried that there was no way to fix this and they would screw me because of the 2 ticket per person limit.  I luckily found an edit button where I changed my ticket order to only 2 tix.  I pushed it through and got a confirmation page immediately which I printed.  Woot!

i didn't have such luck.  when my order pages finally came up, i had mor ethan 2 tickets.  when i went to edit, it took forever.  i changed stuff to 2 and it kept putting it at a number >2 when it got back to the purchase screen, so i had to keep editing it.
finally i had it at 2 on the purchase screen and i went to sign in so that my info would load up so i could pay for them.  when the sign-in finally went through, it went bck to saying i had 4 tickets in my cart.

i gave up at that point.

This track reminds me of very very early Pumpkins like "Nothing and Everything" or "Spiteface." Back when Billy had metal hair  :)   Big drums and a lot more metal riffs and wailing guitar solos!

Same thing happened to me.  I ended up holding 6 tickets to the date on the 24th, and additionally, the 2 tickets I had added to the cart previously (and thought I lost) for the 23rd showed up there as well.  Hit submit and ended up with a pair to the 23rd and a pair to the 24th.  Must have been one of the very few lucky folks yesterday.

Critically, the Pumpkins always did quite well.  I'm not sure what you're taking issue with here.

EXACTLY, it was sick.  Silverfuck had a Doors interlude, I think it was The End or When The Music's Over.

2.5 hours was pretty standard in 2000. The band finally stopped having openers because they played so long.

what, playing the first 7-8 tracks of 'i care because you do' doesn't count as an opening band?

Awesome! Glad to see they're still jamming out on Silverfuck. Typically it was "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and some other babbling by Billy.  :)

I think they played at least 2 hours when I saw them in Dayton in 94 w/ Red Red Meat as the opener.
