Title: why do i give myself high blood pressure by rooting for
Post by: bigyellow100 on March 03, 2007, 06:29:00 pm
skins, wiz, caps, and uva.  we always have amazing wins with the worst possible, most frustrating losses.

I feel your pain.  If a championship ever happens for any of the local teams it will be a literal miracle.  Ughhh.  Just awful.

the wizards have a decent shot and coming out of the Eastern Conference.  and it Nowitzki, Nash or Duncan break their leg in game 1 of the finals...they could be cutting down the nets!!

Wizards have made the playoffs the past 2 years and are looking good for a 3rd year in the playoffs, Arenas is amazing.

 Caps...blegh.

 Skins....uh...next year.  :D

 UVA. Poop.

the wiz are fine; yeah they'll win a round and then lose like they did to the cavs last year in 7 by not guarding lebron with 2 seconds left.  the caps look pretty good, until it comes to shootouts.  i think they are defying all statistical probabilities with their shootout record.  as for the skins....nough said.  and i went to uva, so i hate all other acc schools, but especially duke.  remember 2 years ago when uva football was top 10?  maybe 4 or 5 and then we went to fsu and laid an egg at the end of the season.  dont even get me started with uva bball this year.  i mean, we've had the best season since god knows how long, but honestly, losing to miami and wake at end was absolutely the most frustrating moments.

Don't forget everyone, UMD's women basketball team were national champs last year.

I have faith that my school will kick ass again this year. I'm happy that the mens team are doing sooo good right now.

The ladies need to get back to the game, but I think they'll do good when it comes to the tournaments. I just hope Duke gets shut down.

How's MD Lacross doing?....and don't forget the MD soil testing team, I believe they're the defending national champions.

#1 - Duke
 #2 - Georgetown

Hoyas beat the Terps in the first game of the season, i think UMD is #14

Don't give up on them, Skins fans. Our day will come. We will be rid of the persecutions that we face. Someday..

May I direct your attention to the 2006-2007 Big East Regular Season and Tournament Champions?

well, let's keep it in this decade ... they were in the sweet 16 in 2006 and 2001

if you want to look at the 90s, they were a 1 seed in the 96 NCAAs

The Angels are handling this about as well as any team I've seen when dealing with an alleged offender.  I hope they suspend him on their own until he talks.  While his stance might fly in an organization like, say, the SF Giants, it won't fly in Anaheim.  I'm not happy about Matthews, but I am happy about my team at the moment.

Oh, well I stand corrected.  Clearly no high blood pressure there.

Seems like just yesterday they were holding off Cal State Fullerton in the NIT.

He's throwing fastballs again and scheduled to perhaps throw off the mound again today in a bullpen session.  He's been limited to 35 pitches per session.  Personally, I hope they take their time with him.  I'd much rather have him healthy at the close of the season then have him pitching in April or May.

I actually enjoy Brody, although I find his lines cheesey as shit.  If Lauren isn't putting out, move on to someone that will.  I've always thought Jen never got her just due.  Kind of has a big shnauze but I think she's hot.

Spencer on the other hand, is going to get the crap kicked out of him one of these days.  He's gotten to the point where nobody really likes him (girls don't like him because he's a cheat and guys don't like him because he's got money and gets chicks).  As soon as the camera's are off his mug - he's going to get into a few fights that he is not going to win.  A couple years from now, when he's a nobody, he'll be beggin the tabloids for attention and they'll reply with "Who?"....
