I am at work looking at the ET Anna Nicole funeral and I think it is disgusting. Why won't you let this lady get some peace. Let the lady be able to rest. I am so sick of hearing this news everywhere(even on my local news). This is why this is the end of days. Why would this be over soldiers killed in Iraq/soldiers coming back with brain damage or babies dying in Africa??? It proves our need to feed of the ugly and bad. Soon you'll be able to come out the house with fires everywhere and people screwing on every corner. Wake up and see the light!
-
Why don't you call ET?
-
You are a caring and sharing person with a strongly held set of moral beliefs. You are a true believer. Blessings from the masses. Blessings from the state.

Don't be a jerk, you are the one who wants everyone to listen to you. You are the one being laughed at. Get off the coach and get a job. Posting on this forum won't pay your bills.
-
You talk of people screwing on every corner like it's a bad thing.

i value your contributions to this vibrant community. i hope you, unlike the many transient wackos who came before you, decide to take off your shoes and stay for a while.

It is! That means people are not caring about destruction everywhere but just screwing eachothers brains out. On the Metro, at the mall, on the sidewalk, etc;

Bull is probably out buying a new couch for his parent's basement as we speak, because the old one is a really comfy one I must say. It however was awful embarrassing when we got to his "crib" to do a little "shopping" during the Lily Allen show only to find his parents rolling on the couch upstairs with his KISS records out.

Don't take this the wrong way, fam, as I don't mean it to be negative. But I'm assuming you're a dude, so lemme ask you this. Do you listen to any, you know, like masculine? Or with substance? Jay-Z if you do the hip-hop thing, maybe some AC/DC, White Stripes, REM, U2, (I'm thorwing out random bands here) something. Your taste seems to skewer towards female pop fluff. (I actually fuck (would like to) with Nelly Furtado myself, and Lily Allen's not bad but the way you pump her up as a borderline pop messiah makes me wonder.)
On that note, based on your taste, check out this old ('96?) album by Luscious Jackson. The name of it Fever In, Fever Out." I bet you'll dig it. Peace . . . .
-
bull: do you like Scissor Sisters? Check them out...I can't believe they're not on your list.
Ohh, and Bananarama - GREATEST HITS! I'm not kidding!

I think you are a little sexist...you are an Eminem fan.....already have that album you suggested....got it last week for $4. I listen to NIN....substance to you is different than for me...that song what what in the butt might be more of your liking....Jay-Z is ok but doesn't nothing for me...I like the new Rich Boy single but it is all the same, drugs, sex and cars. Take me back to the 80's when the rap was about real issue not just about getting a blow job....i do like REM, Radiohead and U2 but I think woman are making more real music than men. All men are talking about is sex. Women are talking about things other than that. Your taste is going to be different than my taste. I like Michael Jackson, George Michael but no one is on that level nowadays....Fluff to me might be what you listen to.....what is your top 10?????....Lily Allen is cool but I think she took something old and made it new.
-
and taking a cue from the director.. Try St. Etienne, The Go-Go's, Cibo Matto, Pizzicato Five, Voice of the Beehive, Buffalo Daughter, and of course Bananarama :)

I have to say I don't....too campy for me and Bananarama(HHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!)

And what does Peaches talk about?

Peaches talks about sex but it is in a comical sort of way....she has 1 or 2 songs talking about real things but she is a true rocker!

The only original music today comes from Japan. The only original movies today come from Japan.

Your post is laughable. I actually find Bull's taste a breath of fresh air on this board of musical conformity.

OK so i've taken the director out back to show him the error of his ways, and all he really wanted from Bull was a pepsi.
Since I haven't bought either the new album from or tickets to The Shins and Arcade Fire. Am passing up the Decemberists show, didn't download the Bloc Party, my "tastes" aren't representative enough of this board to drivel any more recommendations Bull's way.
In fact so far this year all I've gotten is the new Sloan, The Good The Bad and the Queen (whose show is only one I'm really excited about for march), the Broken West and am thinking about the new Lucinda Williams.
oh and p.s. Bull checkout early Beth Orton, maybe even some early Depeche Mode.
-
How is the Broken West album? Need to pick that up if I end up deciding to go to the Long Winters show. I'll pass on the new Lucinda though.

The Broken West CD is good, but not as hard driving and twang accented as the Brokedown EP. I think the guy that played pedal steel with the band left before it was recorded. It's must more 60s California Folk Pop than "alt-country". It didn't grab me like the EP did, but with repeated listens it's growing on me. Word is they rock the songs harder live..

I'm not knocking the cat at all. My musical taste is far more diverse than you would think/believe. What I listen to in any given 24-hour period would/may shock you. He seems QUITE enthusiatic towards Peaches, Ms. Winehouse, & Lily Allen. I just wanted to get to the bottom of why. That's all. Indie hipster seems to be the hat of choice 'round these here parts, so I don't really tend to put my musical taste out there too much. I perk up when a subject "speaks" to me, per se.

Kosmo, what did The Director do? When did I get the role of the bad guy? LOL
Bull, on another note (you prolly already know about it) check out Blondie. It's pretty much the blueprint for these artists you seem to dig. Shoulda been the first artist to pop up in my head. Early Depeche is definitely for you as well. Try some Smiths, Joy Division, & New Order as well, fam. You should dig it. (Assuming you don't fuck with it already . . . )

If you are over 15, please don't use the word "prolly". It sort of invalidates anything else you might say that actually may be meaningful. Thanks!

I will agree with the others by saying listen to anything that you enjoy. Musical taste is largely subjective.
However, when I look at this list I can help but think that ten years from now you will think back on what you listened to at this point in your life and say, "what the hell did I hear in that".

Is it okay to use "dunno"? I've seen everybody from 8 to 80 use it.
And you can't answer dunno, aw'ight?

Dunno 'bout that. But the "w" & "'" are superfluous. Aight???

It's not as gay as "prolly", but it's still incorrect.

I listen to the melodies! I think for me it doesn't matter what style of music it is.....it just has to hit me in some way. I don't just go for the cliche. The music I listen to know I will listen to later on in life, it will just grow. I'm definitely not a big fan of the #1 song in the country "This is why I'm Hot". Think it is just a played out saying. Someone put their top ten on here and let's disect. That is if you're not afraid!!!
