Title: Clinic live
Post by: Iam[atientboy on March 04, 2007, 04:09:00 pm
I'm debating whether to see Clinic @ the Black Cat this Tuesday. Are they very good live?? I like their music but I'm not the biggest fan..

Holy Fuck are supposed to be great live so I guess they'll be a nice bonus.

I have always been a bit disappointed by clinic live, it sounds fine, just kind of a boring show

They've disappointed  me the last two times, but I still keep seeing them (kinda like seeing Morrissey - he never blows you away but you keep seeing him for whatever reason).

So there is a chance I'll be at the show tomorrow.

Holy Fuck is very good live, I have had the pleasure of seeing them before with Wolf Parade. Excited to be check out Clinic as well, have heard a few good words about them live.

It is always fun to do a poster for shows Holy Fuck plays just so I can put Holy Fuck on a printed piece and not be considered crass.

I forgot to mention that they blew me away the first time I saw them. That was year 2001. I'm not too fond of the new album...

They can be good live.  I've seen them three times.  One blah, one so-so, one very good. Just don't expect a lot of interaction.  Those surgical masks aren't just quirky costumes; they are metaphors for the isolation and sterility of modern existence.  We are all strangers, really....

Enjoyed the show and sold a few posters. Both bands were good though I did not hear my fave song. Oh well.
