Title: Scissor Sisters Show ... Thoughts?

Would love to hear thoughts from anyone who was at the Scissor Sisters show last night! I thought they sounded fab and put on a great show ... was it just me or did Jake seemed a tad drunk? And by "tad drunk" I actually mean "totally bombed."

I thought the backdrop was great! And that "Transistor" song from the 2nd disc of Ta-Dah! was quite a surprise!

Why are the Scissor Sisters huge in the UK and not the USA?

visual were indeed impressive, that light-studded curtain that they unveiled half-way through the show was very cool.  energy was high, both from the band and the crowd.  good banter between songs that didn't go on for too long (thank gawd).  i thought the sound was a little muddy at times, though.  is jake shears from this area?  his parents and numerous family members were in attendance.  
 
 the opening act, "wigs on a stick", ROCKED.  they were, well, wigs on sticks  :)   the hair pieces were set up on poles with mics in front of them, and pre-recorded 50's girl-band music was played along with typical opening band banter ("you guys are the best audience we've ever played to", "are you gius excited for the opening band, the scissor sisters?!?", etc).  a funny parody of an opening band  :)

I missed Wigs on Sticks. That sounds bizarre!

This was the worst opener for Scissor Sisters (last year at the Bowery Ballroom) and worst opener EVER.

Hehe, those are my pics. My mom took 180 of them. Keep checking that thread, I'll post some more great shots later. We got some pretty good ones. I was first in line, and it was my first SS concert! ^_^ Best night of my life. I'm still high from it.

I brought four of my friends and we had the best time ever.  We were really close the the stage and danced our butts off.  
  We saw the last song of wigs on sticks...and i was laughing so hard.  that recorded voice was so funny. 'you guys are the best crowd ever' wish i could have seen a little more.
   oh and jake's outfits...awesome! haha
 I am so so so happy they played at the 9:30 club.
