Title: Of Montreal Setlist?
Post by: starrdogg92 on March 07, 2007, 03:49:00 pm
Hey all, this one's for anyone who went to the Of Montreal show last night. I'm trying to piece together last night's setlist but there were definitely some songs I didn't recognize. Can any of you guys help me out? Thanks.

Thus far I've got (not in order):
 Rapture Rapes the Muses
 Climb the Ladder
 Suffer for Fashion
 Sink the Seine
 Cato as a Pun
 Heimsdalgate Like a Promethian Curse
 Grandlandic Edit
Bunny Ain't No Kind of Rider
 She's a Rejecter
 Oslo in the Summertime

Will You Come and Fetch Me?->My British Tour Diary were in there.

Solid fun show from them as to be expected. Now there's a band that seems to have forgotten about all the material they recorded pre-'04.

It was an amazing show, first time I'd ever seen them and they blew me away. I'm not a fan of the State Theater and at times the little area in front of the stage felt kinda overcrowded, but that's pretty minor. Videos, costume changes, wild stage antics and great music, doesn't get much better than that.

The mix sounded a little off but I think that's how Kevin  wanted it to sound for whatever reason.

Sounds exactly the same way on the soundboard recording I have from earlier in this tour.

I was up front as well and had to strain a bit to hear the far-off-to-the-left vocals.

Also, the girl who designed those costumes is named Rebecca Turbow.  Her clothes are really neat.

Yeah Grand Buffet was there. Their between song banters were hilarious but the songs themselves... Meh.

Mixel Pixel opened; they were pretty enjoyable.

I had a really good time, first time I've seen them live and it was certainly something I've never really seen before.

And no, there was no nudity.

here is what i was referring to:

 hi rachel,

we're actually in champaign which is about two hours south of chicago.  the weather here's been off and on, last night was very cold.  you should check out the 'chemicals' video on youtube.  most of the costumes and props in that are in OM's new live show including the 13-foot dress.  kevin also opens the show by being birthed from a cow.  seriously.

 hope all is well,
 adam
