Bummed about the lack of puppet porn in it, but anything condemned by the White House will only ensure I'll be out voting with my dollars for it. (disclaimer: it was Drudge who reports this so I'll take it with a grain of salt)
So anyone heading out to the multiplexs to see it this weekend? I'm looking for pals or palettes to see the film with seeing as Kosmette is off hanging out with museum types this weekend.

you know. . .sometimes i wish the right would open their eyes and see what a great job matt and trey do making fun of democrats and others on the left. course, they are libertarians, so i guess republican's don't really want to associate too much with those wackos. :)

I think they are poking just as much fun at Republicans as they do anyone else.

Sean Penn (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=796&ncid=799&e=2&u=/eo/20041011/en_celeb_eo/15110) isn't thrilled with the film either. Or maybe he is. Or maybe not...

i completely disagree. . but then, maybe i'm just close-minded and only looking at when they are making fun of the left and refuse to acknowledge the jokes they make towards the right.
but team america sure looks like it does nothing but take on the left, especially the Film Actors Guild. ha ha.

it is amusing that they helped Michael Moore out with Bowling for Columbine and now make fun of him, wonder if there was a falling out
-
so if they take on pop cultures icons then they bashing the left... and then they take on christian rock they are taking on the right... and lets not forget "passion of the jew"
they'll bash anything, BASEketball was pretty much aimed at professional sports.
-
I never really liked these two, but I'll be damned if Orgasmo isn't frickin' hiliarous.

To these guys, anything and anyone is fair game to make fun of.

according to an interview i read, they did the interview with moore, then there's the cartoon right after their interview, which, according to them, was done in a south park style without any notification that it was not done by them. they are upset about the cartoon. . .

I am seeing this.
Does anyone remember what they call that animation style.
Like The Thunderbirds.
I've been trying to think of it since yesterday.
I know it was some cool sounding 60's kind of name.
Maybe not.

it's called using actual marionettes, no cgi, no animation, just a camera and some puppeteers. the marionettes are more high tech with robotics of course
-
Are you talking about claymation?

wow you learn something new everyday! pollard is go!

Kids should be watching wholesome shows like Davey & Goliath (http://www.daveyandgoliath.com/).
-
I always hung on the adventures of "Goofus and Gallant"
-
Supermarionation, Yes that sounds so...
Super. Capital S even.
And Davey and Goliath, there was always something just under the surface with those two.
Just that boy and his dog sexual tension. You know what I mean.

The classic example of sell out. Sort of. The Lutherans sold the rights to Davey and Goliath to Mountain Dew (Pespi Co.) with the hopes that the profits from the ads would be enough to make new episodes of D & G.
Here kids, drink Mountain Dew so you don't get tired while you're out saving the world from the evil skater kids, who also drink mountain dew. The only winner here? Pepsi co.
Look for Davey and Goliathâ??s Snowboard Christmas â??financed in part by Mountain Dew - on cable this Christmas.

I caught the tail end of a making of episode of this movie, and it looked like everything was traditional marionettes with strings (not visible in final cut) with the only things remote controlled being the cars and explosions and stuff.

I think Moore has that kind of sense of humor to be able to laugh at himself, unlike, for example, the FOX anchors.
