Title: springsteen or dylan
Post by: walkonby on October 25, 2005, 07:07:00 pm
man, that bruce show the other night at richmond coliseum was awesome!!  he delivered on so many levels that it felt spiritual, like as in a dylan-ish stride, where personal reflection moves you and makes one aware that music is the one, more important treasures we have left.  no glamour or glitz or "best of catalogue", just a keyboard, guitar, and head piece harmonica.

Don't forget the pump organ, auto-harp, mandolin and the bluesy microphone and good old foot stompin.   Except for the drive to Richmond in the rain and traffic, it was a great show.

Did Springsteen do his 10 minute cover of Suicide's Dream Baby Dream? I hear he's been doing that on this tour. I really would have liked to have gone to this but I can't do shows where I have to buy tix in advance. Maybe 3 or 4 times a year TOPS.
