Nice!  Congrats Fico!  Here's the relevant part for those who don't feel like clicking:

The first band to perform were the DC-based Cedars. Formerly performing and recording under the moniker Cartel, Cedars have been generating a little buzz (not only locally) garnering praise from the likes of Under the Radar.

"This is our first time at the 9:30 Club... on the Stage anyway" quipped lead singer/guitarist Brian Leatherman at the beginning of the show. You wouldn't have known it. From the opening notes, melodic, atmospheric guitars filled the 9:30 Club, engulfing all who were lucky enough to arrive early. The second song, "Fleets", was spellbinding. As Cedars moved fluidly through their set, it was hard not to be taken in by their performance.

Hadn't seen this yet...I am chuffed by it obviously. It's little things like this that remind us that hard work pays off even if it can get incredibly frustrating more often than not..I know I promised new music by fall before, but we are going back to the studio to track some new songs we feel are quite special so hopefully we'll have something new for you all early next year..in the meantime, Saturday 11/19 we'll be at DC9 with the Upwelling from NYC and I think Hopewell..so it should be a good time to come around and check us out if you've missed us as of late..

chuffed adj. Someone who describes themselves as being chuffed is generally happy with life. You can also get away with saying you are unchuffed or dischuffed if something gets your back up. Make sure you only use this word in the correct tense and familiarise yourself with the meaning of the word chuff too.

True. Though I regret to say that I have yet to see 'em live. I wanted to go to this show, but it was just not a good night. One of these days...

Can't wait for you guys to make it big so I can say that I knew you when you guys were named Cartel.

Then I'm selling Cartel EP on Ebay and retiring.  Keep up the good work - I'm counting on you!
