j.'s reappearance with dinosaur for the second time at nine thirty leads me to think, "is this show not as "grand" as the last?" i heard rumours of a new album, so is one to expect new material played? that alone would make my long trip worth the time and spliced space. will "the fog" ever return, and will the age old question of who ruled more, mike watt or schools, as it's bass line-up?? if you're going to the show tonight, i'm sure it will be swell and overpriced shirts . . . i'm actually considering wearing earplugs in my oldening age of slow roast. i have something special in the tx exchange, for anyone interested.

I hope you're checking your PMs!

It'll be the same songs as last time, but you can't complain. You won't see any acts with the sheer beautiful volume of DJ around anymore.

i had earplugs in and my ears are still ringing.

I had earplugs and my ears are ringing too. They didn't play too much from Bug, but a lot from Dinosaur S/T and Living All Over Me. And a shocker - "the wagon." Lou was in funny form - with comments such as "this is from our new album." It was cool to see J back on guitar, as I saw him at Black Cat on the drums with Witch. Also a very cool show. Set list that I remember - Leper, Mountain Man, Quest, Lose, Wagon, Just Like Heaven, Sludgefest, Kracked, Lung, Raisins, In A Jar, Tarpit, Little Fury Things, Freak Scene. Not in this order - but trying to remember. I think this is right. Anyone catch something I mised or screwed up all bleary eyed at 2:10 am?

Also the Fog show with one of the Ashton brothers from the Stooges with Mike Watt was a monster highlight from a few years back. The second hour was all stooges with Mike Watt singing. Miraculous.

Forget the Swan and Bulb of Passion. Okay - goodnight Dinosaur jr fans.

Leper, Mountain Man, Quest, Lose, Wagon, Just Like Heaven, Sludgefest, Kracked, Lung, Raisins, In A Jar, Tarpit, Little Fury Things, Freak Scene, Bulbs of Passion, and Forget the Swan...they fly at dawn. An hour and a half of pure rock.

Just a great, great Dinosaur Jr. show. Sound was fantastic. The band flat-out rocked. Loved the set up. The moshers and shoegazers and musician wanks and everyone in between left smiling.

Glad I went to the show. I love Lou Barlow...
Too bad I missed WalkOnBy's generous offer. (Is that a Cake reference?) Luckily a charming fella going by "Joe Montana" befriended me and got me in.
The show rocked!

I've seen Folk Implosion in the past, but never Dinosaur Jr. I got into them from the Kids soundtrack. It was groovy to experience the roots of Barlow's vibe.

I was able to snag WalkOnBy's offer; thanks again for being so generous, and I hope the beers made up for it. It was great meeting another member of the forum, too, especially one that's such a mystery. Now I know all of WOB's secrets, and they're goign to the highest bidder.
Fabulous show; my ears are definitely a little cloudy despite ear plugs.

Did anyone see Priestess? How were they?

this was supposed to be posted the day after the dinosaur jr show, but the forum sight went down and my account was erased for awhile. i couldn't get on and post or read, and was slowly melting away.
1. my name is to no song reference, or musical reference at all for that matter. 2. and you are quite the welcome for the ticket, nkotb. 3. sorry to mistress kelly, for i just still so love that name . . . even though "i taste like homo." i sure enjoy being a 2% m.f. The band has confirmed they are recording/have recorded material for a new album. Fall release is rumoured.
Green Mind and Where You Been get reissue treatment on 5/16. They also release an acoustic concert from 1993 on that day as well, only available at indie retailers. Should be cool.

I, too, was feeling the void.
Re: 3. - Kewl. Some of my bestest friends taste like homo. LOL :) Hmmm... Wish I understood the 2% quip. Sometimes I'm sooo -not- savvy. PM me and 'splain, Lucy.
