Title: Mission of Burma
Post by: Sir HC on February 20, 2003, 04:30:00 pm: So, they were concidered a four piece band, 3 on stage and their sound guy who did lots of effects and manipulations to their sound. Is that what is happening on this tour?

I'm pretty sure that is what they're doing this tour, but I'm not really sure.

You could tell that MOB was truly having a blast playing live again. You would never have guessed that they haven't done this in 20 years -- they were tight.The Oxes did a pretty bad Nirvana cover -- which was the highlight of their set.Tone(?) had 4 guitarists and 2 drummers. It was pretty cool at first, but after about 10-15 minutes, it kinda got monotonous.

But watching them, you're right, they looked a little wary and uncomfortable. But the upside was that when they were hitting it, you also saw some genuine glee on their faces.

Everyone is supposed to undergo scrutiny on the way into the club. Some things we hold at the door (mace, cameras/recording devices, pocket knives etc...) some things we confiscate (alcohol, drugs etc...). So I am sorry to hear that is the first time you have been checked at the front door...I guess the guys are done slacking.
