Are these guys this year's ....Trail of Dead, ATDI...[Fill in your favorite under-the-radar-savior-of-musical-integrity here]?
Every review seems to be dripping with superlatives:
"This album will unite clashing factions holding onto their illusions for dear life by reducing them to equally powerless spectators:"
"the Blood Brothers' third full-length opus, Burn Piano Island, Burn, is the most prolific, beautiful, and vital statement of rock since the Stooges' Raw Power."
"â??â?¦Burn, Piano Island, Burnâ?? deserves to be flushed into every corner of our nationâ??s pop sensibility. Now."
"the next Nevermind....The Blood Brothers are doing calculus at this point....this is a monumental album"
"Cinematically speaking, Burn Piano Island, Burn is like the point in the climax where klaxon alarms give way to a luminous fuel tank explosion blossoming from the heart of some important complex, leaving the fate of the hero and the villain unknown."
I've had it for a couple of months and while it was a good listen, I haven't had the urge to put it on since May. Perhaps it grows on you?

I have had it for several months and keep trying to give it another chance, but I am never convinced. I am seeing them open for Cursive, maybe they will convince me then.

I think they're great. My friends saw them in Richmond a few weeks ago... said the show was energy but at times annoying, but overall enjoyable. I think that the album works for only certain kinds of moods, like rash I -Hate-Authority and I hate you kinds of moods. But I think that their energy and enthusiasm don't parallel any other bands out there now, which makes them stand out.

I think they're an alright band, but I can name a bunch of bands that do what they do a lot better.
