I won't miss this one....they kicked the shit out of many bands I saw this past year.....
-
They're a visual experience, as the lead singer is several hundreds of pounds and often takes to the stage in a dress, which matches his full beard very well. Good band, good songs -- more Doves than Datsuns.
-
swedish bands rule and the singer is kinda scary which makes it cooler! I saw them at Fletchers with like 25 people there, and the still played like there was 2500.<BR> Cant wait to see them at Coachella.<P>
-
I was at The Fletchers show, also. We went upstairs and helped the band clear out all the beer in the fridge after the show. Great group of guys! Shot much film and also have a pretty damn good recording of that night.
-
Huge fat guy singing in a dress. Don't see that every day.
-
Hate to burst the dress bubble.....not a dress....more like a smock or flowing "fat dude" shirt.....guy had pants on for crissake!
-
I believe it's a "tunic"<P>I haven't seen them, but I have never heard a bad word about their performances. Also, I think what makes them different than a lot of the new "garage" bands is that they don't sound derivative of anybody in particular, but rather, sound like a melange of carefully studied influences. I'm looking forward to this show.

Kind of like David Thomas from Pere Ubu?<P> <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Arial, Veranda">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by imrotten:<BR><B>Hate to burst the dress bubble.....not a dress....more like a smock or flowing "fat dude" shirt.....guy had pants on for crissake!</B><HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>

Yeh Markie, I'm sure you thought of ol' Demis right off the bat.
-
I have been thinking of him a lot recently, how about you?
-
I think any fan of Definitely Maybe era Oasis would like these guys a lot. Great songs and they put on a great show. I saw them at a tiny place in Atlanta called Smith's Old Bar, maybe the size of the old Metro Cafe, and they played as if it was an arena.
-
count me in for the show!
-
Demis Roussos, I remember him! Can't remember his sound though.
-
Any chance this will sell out? I have a bunch of friends coming into town for this show.
-
TSOOL is on Letterman tonight.
-
They were also on Last Call last night, but I didn't catch them.
