incredible album - all the way through....
best I've heard all year
hope they win a Best New Artist Grammy
(them and Fountains of Wayne)
-
What band is this?
-
Nah, Fountains of Wayne hadn't had a hit in like 7 years when they won the (laughable) best new artist grammy. The people who do the grammys may not be the smartest bunch, but they'll surely remember one of the biggest hits of three years ago.

I don't believe for one second that as indie literate as you are that you don't know which band is putting out We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank (arguably the most anticipated record of 2007).

Based on the long silly name, I would guess it's eitehr Fall Out Boy, Minus the Bear, or Modest Mouse.
Whatever it is, it won't be as good as this sweet new Wilco album!

I would argue that "Neon Bible" was more anticipated, so far this year.

OK, Neon Bible is also arguably the most anticipated records of 2007. That's the beauty of "arguably" vs. "definitively."

Somewhere, someone is building an Anticipa-meterā?¢ to settle the argument definitively.

If it has any actual, you know, songs on it, I'd say the new Radiohead album is also pretty anticipated. That and the Interpol album.
Brian

...and the new Britney Spears.
It's rumored to be nothing but covers of Midnight Oil songs.
-
I thought Chinese Democracy is the most anticipated album.

But Shelby Lynne DID win the best new artist Grammy, on the strength of her sixth album.
