Because "this places sucks shit and smells like a cesspool" would not fit on business cards.

Like where I live here in Richmond is any better...   "Come visit Richmond and take a bullet home as a momento of your trip" was the first choice here!

haha you gotta be kidding, there is nothing nice about Baltimore.  The whole city is a dump.  you can't compare it to DC.

I've lived in both Baltimore and DC, and found Baltimore preferable.

whats your rationale behind this?  you obviously havent been here lately.

i find DC to be one of the least enjoyable cities in this fine land.

spend a little time around and north of JHU for instance I'd hardly call that area a dump, now granted cross the street in the wrong direction on  the edges and you'll bump into a some urban bligth.

exactly, not just the harbor area downtown either.  Fells Point is certainly no slum anymore, and Canton is as nice as most any parts of DC, the Federal Hill area is one of the most desirable parts of town, and even Patterson Park can be walked through at night without fear of being shot at! The "west-side" project is bringing tons of new condos north of Camden Yards and there are even plans in the works for a Baltimore Chinatown on Howard St. (not that Chinatown is historically the nicest part of cities, but have you ever eaten Chinese food here???  yuk!!)
