Title: Parking bikes at the 930
Post by: thirsty moore on August 12, 2004, 11:55:00 am
When you riders go to the 930, where do you lock your bikes up?  Do your bikes get messed with?  I realize that it's up to the owner of the bike to keep it locked up, but we all know that bike locks can be broken.

Does the 930 allow bikes in it's car lot?  Is there a bike rack outside the 930?  Any and all weigh in on this.

There are two bike racks directly out side the club.  also there are two off duty DC. police, that watch out for things around the club every night.

Excellent.  Thanks for the info.  I'm surprised I haven't noticed the bike racks before.

oh!  oh!  i was out to lunch, but now i'm here!  and useful for once!  sort of!  and using lots of exclaimation points!

park your bike wherever you'd like.  the truth is, those racks (and the nearby stopsign) in front of the club are usually filled by the time i get there.  but park nearby, look for no parking signs, use a u lock, you'll be fine.  i'd recommend locking your front tire in, too.

but in general, bikes get stolen in dc when not locked properly, when way too expensive to be locked on the street, or when left overnight.  leave your Lightspeed at home, lock your bike right, keep it close to a trafficked area, and  ride it home, and you'll have no problem.

-chimbly, who has never had a bike stolen yet!
