Title: Hankerchief Please
Post by: kosmo vinyl on August 12, 2004, 12:28:00 pm
For those of us who would have been making those final plans to trek out to Merriweather for Day One of Lollapalooza... Sniff Sniff.  Just how awesome would have been to seen Morrissey from the safety of the lawn. Sniff Sniff... or to hear TVOTR rock the mainstage Sniff Sniff... And to get the hell out of dodge when the String Cheese Incident hit the stage. etc etc etc etc

Or to have to be at work while all this was going on. (sniff, sniff)

I've pretty much seen the bands I wanted to see, i.e. Sonic Youth and TVOTR.  Hopefully Modest Mouse will be coming around soon.  They're better up in the club anyways.

'Tis true -- unlike the awesome unseasonable weather for Curiosa, you'd probably have to deal with torrential tropical storm-related downpours.

And I'd be at work.   ;)

I was looking forward to seeing if the flaming lips had crafted any new material, Yoshimi seems like a long time ago now, and they are still milking it.

I wonder if we will get to see the von bondies round these parts any time soon?

Hope so...anyone watch the new FX show "Rescue Me" with Denis Leary?  "C'mon C'mon" is the theme song.  Amazing how t.v. is in some ways so full of much more cool music than radio...
