SEth is probably paying him not to play here and then putting him on the V-Fest bill in August. Like Amy Winehouse.

He's angry that the kids weren't cuttin' the rug at his last DC gig.
-
because going from DC to baltimore to see an artist that you really like is so fucking hard...
-
I reckon if you don't own an automobile it is.

Who wants to rent a fucking car just to go to a concert?
Oh wait, this is a board where people routinely pay in the three figures for concert tickets. Never mind.

i used to live/work in fairfax and would drive to b'more for a # of shows. its not _that_ far. I also did the same while living in fairfax and drove to nyc to see a week day show. i wouldnt do that again, and i nearly fell asleep at the wheel on the ride home. but to see the f'ing dandy warhols - it was so worth it!
Although I guess living in the Bay Area had taught me that sometimes you gotta drive a bit farther to see a band that you really wanna see.

You guys do know that he stole the style of his "Billie Jean" cover from Robbie Fulks, don't you?
-
that cornell really is a FUCK - after all, he owes us a show, right? i mean, the fact that daft punk is playing in my living room right now and not chris himself on an acoustic is an afront. HOW DARE HE NOT CATER TO MY LAZY-ASS DESIRES!!! FIGHT DA MAN!!!1!1111 like really, it's not as if the on-sale of this show was announced on this board or anything... you have many sympathetic ears on this board, rusty!

I wouldn't walk across the street to see Chris Cornell, even if there was free pizza.

Pardon me while I get my Dionne Warwick/Miss Cleo on, but I reckon I detect a hint of sarcasm in your tone, S Dot Cell. Just a lil' bit . . .

Cool. Got a pair of tickets. Still a hassle to drive to Baltimore but fuck it. I can pretend I'm in that show Homicide: Life on the Street.

Good pipes. Questionable taste.

and if memory serves be prepared to wait... the last "Night with Chris Cornell" at the club had people waiting to get in due to a lengthy soundcheck and/or waiting for him to start the show. which if i also recall was limited only to his solo album and was a pretty short affair given all the standing around.

I get to work at 7am every single day and I go to weeknight shows in Baltimore all the time.
Stop crying.

Cornell always SEEMED to me to be a decent, down-to-earth guy but the more that I've read about the demise of Soundgarden and (now) Audioslave the more I think that he and his diva behavior caused the problems. He's one of those stealth assholes.

Can one catch AIDS from a stealth asshole? Or just a stealth virus.
I've got Visual AIDS. I got it from looking at poasts written by assholes.
