Title: Roll Call: Orioles DC fanfest

Anyone going to see the Orioles Wed down around Faragut? All of them supposed to be there, except Ponson and Lopez (not sure which of the three Lopez' that means). Free food for everyone, so I'm surprised that Sidney won't be there.

i was wondering when that would be happening. . .last year had free ice cream sammiches. . .mmmmm.

I've boycotted Angelos and his Orioles but my mom is a huge fan and baseball nut in general so perhaps I'll go down and try to get an autograph or two for her.  To those of you who've attended this thing before, how difficult will that be?
 
 So nice of Angelos and the Orioles to reach out to 'their' fans in DC.  :mad:

We went two years ago. It was fairly well attended, but not a mob scene. Didn't bother getting any autographs (Did they have anybody worth getting back then? Travis Driskill, Scott Erickson, Gary Matthews, Marthy Cordoba, etc...) This years promises to be better if Palmeiro, Tejada, Mora, Javy, Hairston, and Newhan all show up.
 
 And yes, the free ice cream sandwiches are a nice touch!

yeah, if the big names are there, this could get really crowded. . .i'd be surprised if tejada doesn't show, he's generally pretty good at doing community and fan stuff.
 
 btw, you can get tickets to this week's series against ths swingin' a's or this weekend's series against the blue jays for $1, if you call selected boys and girls club offices in this area.. . .it's an mlb promotion.

Does anybody see a striking resemblance between Orioles player David Newhan and BR549 drummer Randall "Shaw" Wilson?
