I haven't seen this posted here yet, so who was your favorite musical act on SNL?
I have to say I'm pretty excited to see the Foo Fighters coming back the 12th.

Peter Tosh & Mick Jagger
-
Frank Zappa
FEAR
Devo
B-52's
Desi Arnaz
Skinhead O'Connor

Elvis Costello, Radio Radio. It was the late 70's, I was a kid just discovering non-bubblegum music. He was ferocious. And angry. And intense. And pigeoned-toed. With those glasses. And soooo skinny. Sigh. I fell in love.
-
Replacements doing "Bastards of Young"
Sinead O'Connor tearing up the picture of the Pope.

That would be my vote, though I think I recall the Beastie Boys once started doing Sabotage and then stopped and did their own version of Radio Radio.
was that even SNL?

It was SNL's 25th Anniversary show and Elvis Costello was "not invited" to perform (although I've heard this was a set up as he actually came out and played it with them).

Ok, couldn't remember the details except that I thought it was cool when I watched it.
