isnt this the day that Elvis died?
how can we be forgetful of that?

Oh, so that's why Turner Classic Movies was showing Elvis flicks all day long.
I usually keep that station on the tv for my residents at work. They were getting into most of them.
The best part of the day was when I told some obnoxious man where he was and that he was there because he needed help. (Believe me, I'm giving you the extremely short version.) Then he said, "Oh, than that must mean I'm goofy then!" Had to contain my laughter and was happy that he's kind of blind so he couldn't see me that well. Oddly, it's the first time in months that he's accepted that he lives there. I'm sure he'll have forgotten by tomorrow.

I don't forget. I was born the exact day he died.

So was my mom (born on Aug 16), who died in 1977, the year Elvis died...it's an odd convergence of dates that kinda bugs me.

I think that's pretty cool actually.
