when i last checked the schedule, arctic monkeys werent there. i checked this afternoon and they were not only there, but sold out? i know they're a hot band right now, but selling out that quickly is very unusual for 930. was there like a pre-sale or something?
-
Soft sale, when you click on "buy tickets" for any of the shows in the top right you can click on "Event schedule" MOnkeys were put on the Event Schedule last week and the tickets went on "soft sale" last thursday and sold out last thursday. the pre-sale was from alst tuesday-last thursday, so it was sold out before anounced on the website, but it had been on soft sale for a day before it sold out. Tough loss, i got my tickets.
You'd have a better shot of staying up to date by checking the event schedule and/or these here messsage boards, i did and i got my tickets, yo.

yeah last time they rolled through here they hit 930 then Sonar and down at The Norva in Norfolk, of course I was snubbed and drove down to Norfolk to see them. But this time i was on the ball and got my shit together. Plus it's 3 days after my birtdahy so thats super exciting.

Im just doin LCD and Monkeys, i was gonna do Kooks but im not a big fan of their album.

I am a gynormous Arctic Monkeys fan, but up until one month ago, the only thing I knew about Kooks was Lily Allen's cover of "Naive". I picked up their CD about a month or so ago and it really has grown on me ... it won't touch Amy W or TGTBATQ, but for me its certainly a lot more enjoyable than Arcade Fire or Bloc Party's latest offerings.
Now what can you tell me about Femi Kuti's live shows, I love his music and I know he wows the Brits, but I suspect there's not a lot of interest in his shows in the US? Please tell me I'm wrong?

I think the Arctic Monkeys sound a little like Motorhead.
