Sometimes when I'm taking a bath I'm thinking, "I wonder if Madonna's taking a bath..?" Weird huh?

You're a molecular biologist(?) with an astronomy hobby?
And you wonder why the chicks don't flock?
-
no astronomy hobby. I do think meteor showers are pretty cool though. Mostly I just wanted to post the topic to snag in the people who just post celebrity gossip. Maybe they will follow the link and realise there is more to life.
Perhaps I am just a geek.
-
Heck better to watch meteor showers in the summer than in the winter like I did a few back. Totally cool though, but friggin' cold. Ended up out on the eastern shore where there is less light pollution.

So I'm assuming Anton Newcombe is a soccer player?? (Usually, when I have no damn clue, it's a soccer dude. Or an alt.country legend.)

Nope,he is the self-professed bastard son of Brian Jones. He is the sole artistic creator of The Brian jonestown Massacre,a neo-psych outfit from the west coast. You can hear everything he's put out on the BJM streaming link.did you see the thread about CT's new one? Here's his take on file sharing etc.: > What were your goals for the band when you formed it
> and how do you see them
> having changed over the years?
my only goal was to create the music i wanted to
hear.i don't think anything has changed.over time we
set other goals i.e. securing record deals, starting
the lable, owning the studio, playing in england and
japan.now it's back to making the best records we can.

that line up was special because we had matt tow fly
over from australia to work with us for three
months.he has so much talent and it was a great leap
oon his part to trust me.i am thankful i got the
chance to show him our country and to work on our new
album with him.we have a new bass player and
guitarist.their names are tommy and dan.

the common thread might be a full spectrum of human
emotion and a melodic back-bone.both of those things
are in short supply these days.

i feel as though the people that have been in control
of the music buisness have done themselves in.they
lack in direction and in leadership.downloading and
shareing music help the buisness not harm it.i believe
they can't wait to find an excuse to introduce a new
format and make everyone go out and buy their entire
record collections again.i have place almost all of
our music on our website for free.this has only
encreased our popularity, only led to more people
coming out to our shows and buying our records.

i just bought a record by a project called "lone
pigeon".i think it stands out because of the
imagination involved in the song-craft.i like the fact
that it is low-fi because technically speaking anyone
could record just aswell in their bedroom.but very few
people in the history of mankind have written
aswell.alot of groups these days are being praised not
because they are excelent, but rather as a reaction to
all of the other mindless crap.i think it is so
wrong.i would rather remain obscure, than to be praised
for mediocrity.

we are done with the album.it's called "...and this is
our music".it is set to be released on october 10th of
this year.it turned out to be the best record i have
ever made.i hope people like it.
>

all of our albums are quite different but with common
themes.this one is orchestrated.also i had matt
tow(lovetones),ed harcourt(english singer/song
writer),kurt heasley(the lilys)darin radermaker(the
tyde) all sing on the album.i want to try and get
people to see my work for what it is.song craft.it's
not about sideburns,or fist fights, drug use or
anything.these are just love songs, somber yet
optimistic.these are songs for all time.

we are working on the next wave of releases for the
committee to keep music evil.a band from portland
called "rick bain and the genious possision".a mod
band from texas called "the john sparrow",our next
album called "we are the radio".etc.

All winter astronomy should be done from the confines of an outdoor lightless hot tub!Trust me on this one.

Pretty good band. Some of their songs really suck but they have a lot of nice ones that I like too. I especially like that song called Three Chord #1.

I think the John Sparrow record is gonna be a treat as well from what I've heard so far.

I've only heard a song or two of John Sparrow on WTMD but I think I kind of liked his music. I really can't remember.

Sometimes I think that if I had only one dream granted, I would wish for a parallel universe wherein everything was exactly the same as in this one. Except in the parallel world there would never have been Madonna. Then I would warp to the twin universe and live happilly evermore.
